Joseph Lee Byrd, 38 of Rome, was jailed on numerous charges after police said he was pulled over for driving a vehicle without a working tag light.
Report said that after being pulled over Byrd attempted to run away from the scene.
Police added that while being taken into custody Byrd attempted to resist arrest.
Byrd is charged with felony obstruction, obstruction of law enforcement, driving without a license and display of a license plate.
