Richard Wayne Cantrell, 27 of Rome, was arrested at Kroger in Rome Sunday after allegedly attempting to steal three individually wrapped racks of ribs.
Reports said that Cantrell placed the ribs in a backpack before attempting to flee the store.
After being stopped and searched, authorities said that they found a baggie of suspected crack cocaine in his backpack.
Cantrell is charged with possession of cocaine and theft by shoplifting.
