Christopher Allen Rich, 43 of Rome, was arrested after a verbal altercation with his wife became physical when another man attempted to aid the woman.
Reports said that Rich tackled and pushed a 20 year-old man into the wall.
Authorities stated that the altercation resulted in large holes being knocked into the wall and glass being broken. The victim also suffered a cut on his left hand.
The altercation, which occurred at a home on Shorter Avenue on June 2nd, occurred in front a 6 year-old child.
Rich is charged with simple battery, criminal trespass and cruelty to children
