Rebecca Leigh Chalfant, 43 of Ball Ground, was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday after she was found with stolen merchandise from a burglary back on March 30, 2017.
Reports said that luggage, clothing, and effects from a funeral home that were related to the death of the victim’s parents were taken from the Walker Mountain Storage facility.
Reports added that the property was found during a search warrant back on April 7, 2017. However, Chalfant was able to escape after a police pursuit.
Authorities said that Chalfant was captured in Bartow County.
Chalfant is charged with theft by receiving stolen property.
