An investigation has been launched by Rome Police in a shooting that occurred over the weekend at the El Patron Sports Bar on Redmond Circle.
Reports said that a fight between two groups of men escalated until one of them fired a gun in the air while inside the club.
Reports continued that six additional gunshots were fired next door near the Dollar General.
Police said that no one was shot or injured in the incident.
Authorities said that security tried to apprehend the original shooter, but was unable to do so. He was described at a black male wearing a blue shirt. He escaped in a gray Dodge Charger.
A black Taurus CTP .380 semi-automatic pistol was found inside the bar and was taken into police custody.
Reports went on to say that police will be reviewing video surveillance footage over the next few days in order to identity the suspects in the altercation.
