Hilton Hayes III, 29 of Rome, was arrested after an altercation at Rome Food Mart on  New Calhoun Highway Thursday. Reports said that Hayes threatened to shoot a man while using profane and vulgar language while in the front of others, including children.

Reports said that when officers arrived on the scene they located marijuana in his socks.

While being placed under arrested authorities stated that Hayes told them that he would find out where they lived and would shoot up their houses.

Reports went on to say that Hayes told one officer, “I’m gonna kill you. I’m gonna beat you’re a$$. I’m gonna kill you tonight.”  The officer added that he made the statements while acting like he was holding a gun and pretending to shoot her.

Hayes is charged with four counts of terroristic threats and acts, disorderly conduct and the purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana.
