Matthew Lee Pierce, 29 of Cedartown, was arrested in Rome Saturday after he allegedly hit a 40 year-old Cave Spring man in the face at a home on Blacks Bluff Road.
Reports said that Pierce hit the man in the face before shoving him.
Pierce is charged with simple battery.
