An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Brittany Renea Garrett, 30 of Rome, is facing additional charges after she was found with a homemade knife.
Garrett is now charged with felony possession of a weapon by an inmate.
She has been in jail since March 22 after being arrested on a warrant accusing her with failure to appear in court.

Brittany Renea Garrett, 30 of Rome, was arrested at Aaron’s Rental on Redmond Circle on Thursday after causing a scene in which she allegedly used profane language to threaten the victim.
Reports went on to say that while being placed under arrest Garrett pulled away from officers in an attempt to try to get away.
Garrett is charged with obstruction of law enforcement and disorderly conduct.
