Jamie Worthy Sr, 51 of Rome, was arrested on Monday and charged with the robbery and assault of a store clerk at the Kangaroo that occurred last Friday.
Worthy is charged with strong arm robbery and aggravated assault.
Reports added that Worthy was identified though social media by community members.

The Rome Police Department has asked for the community’s assistance in identifying a gas station robbery suspect.
Reports stated that on April 21, 2017 at approximately 9:15 PM a male entered the Kangaroo located at 1501 Martha Berry Blvd. The male then violently attacked the young female clerk before breaking open the cash register and running off with the money.
