Thomas Richard Dotson, 50 of Calhoun, was arrested at the law enforcement center in Rome Monday after he allegedly took money from an elderly woman to move a mobile home and tear down another in Silver Creek, but failed to do so.

Reports stated that Dotson was contracted to remove a mobile home last September 26th for a total of $5,600. Reports added that Dotson was paid $2,500 prior to doing the job.   However, Dotson failed to remove the home, instead only stripping the metal from the home.

Authorities said that Dotson was also supposed to tear down another old home on the property, and failed to do that as well.

The victim told police that Dotson has avoided numerous attempts to get in touch with him.

Dotson is charged with exploitation of an elderly person, and two counts of conversation of payments for property improvements.
