Genita Ann Jones, 63 of Mooresville, North Carolina, was booked into the Floyd County Jail after stealing money from her 83 year-old mother’s bank account.
Reports stated that while acting as power of attorney she “improperly used funds of more than $29,000” for her own use and without authority.
Reports added that the victim was in Jones care at the time of the incident back in June of 2015.
Jones is charged with theft by taking and exploitation of the elderly.
