April Dawn Lindsey, 39 of Rome, was arrested on Tuesday after she was found with methamphetamine on the campus of Darlington High School.

Authorities said that Lindsey fled on foot and attempted to hide under a bush in order to avoid police.

Reports added that while being questioned Lindsey was found with a glass smoking device with white crystal like residue.

Lindsey is also accused of using a metal basket to break a window to a home on Old Rockmart Road on March 12th.

Lindsey is charged with battery, cruelty to children, possession of drug related objects, obstruction of law enforcement, possession of meth, possession of meth in a drug free zone, probation violation, probation violation from a conditional discharge program and two counts of criminal trespass.
