A 31 year-old Calhoun man, Dustin Reeves Shepherd, was booked into the Floyd County Jail Wednesday after he escaped custody of the local work release center.
Report stated that on February 28th of this year Shepherd failed to return to the Floyd County Work Release Center after being released under that condition.
He was transported from the Telfair State Prison to face the charge.
Shepherd is charged with felony escape.
