Ken Robert Maynard, 55 of Rome, was arrested last weekend after he was spotted driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
Reports stated that Maynard was pulled over at his home on Cave Spring Road.
Officers reported that they found an open container of moonshine in the vehicle. They said that they also found nine dogs at the home that were not being properly cared for. They added that the dogs appeared to have not been fed or sheltered.
Maynard is charged with two counts of animal cruelty, open container and DUI.
