An inmate at the Floyd County Jail Michael Todd Knight, 34 of Rockmart, is facing additional charges after being accused of purchasing a gun with counterfeit money.
Reports stated that Knight used counterfeit $50 bills to buy a gun for $500 last December.
Authorities added that Knight also used a fake name to purchase the gun since he was a convicted felon.
Knight has been housed in the Floyd County Jail since his arrest March 8th on a charge of possession fo a firearm by a convicted felon.
He is now additionally charged with felon theft by deception and two counts of felony forgery.
