A Rome couple, Toni Joe White, 39 and Jazzmee Ransom, 38, were arrested after an altercation at a home on Burnett Ferry Road Tuesday.
Reports stated that White hit Ransom in the head with a knife, resulting in a laceration to his head.
Police added that while at the hospital being check out Ransom was charged with a probation violation.
White is charged with battery.
