Jonathan William Cromer, 30 of Lindale, was arrested Monday on numerous charges including car theft. Update: Cromer has now been charged with stealing two cars around the area.

Reports stated that Cromer was found with a stolen 2008 Hyundai that was taken from a home on Manco Drive earlier in the day.  He is now additional charged with stealing a 2012 Hyundai Elantra from a victim on November 29.

Officers stated that Cromer also laid drag and drove in an erratic way on Maple Street at Park Avenue over the weekend.  When officers attempted to pull him over he allegedly sped away at a high rate of speed, almost causing a wreck after ignoring stop signs.  Reports went on to say that Cromer then lost control of the vehicle and struck a fence and a stop sign.

Cromer is charged with two counts of theft by taking motor vehicle, hit and run, driving on a suspended license, theft by receiving stolen property, attempting to elude police, driving on wrong side of roadway, failure to maintain lane, two counts of running a stop sign, two counts of failure to yield at intersection, reckless driving, laying drag, and parole violation.
