Jeffrey Lee Ely, 49 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports stated he pointed a BB gun at a man was who picking up derbies from the edge of the road near his home on Preacher Smith Road.
Reports added that Ely began to scream at the victim before firing the gun at him.
Ely is charged with reckless conduct and probation violation.
