Doris Jean Shaw, 75 of Rome, was arrested this week at her home on Moran Lake Road after she allegedly hit an elderly man in the head with a piece of wood. Reports added that the man suffered cuts to his head.
The victim had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Shaw is charged with battery.
