Tyrin Lamar Ferguson, of Rome, was sentenced to five years in prison, to be followed by five years of probation, after being found guilty of gun and drug charges.

Ferguson was arrested in the summer of 2014 during a raid at a home on South Broad Street.

A jury found Ferguson guilty of felony possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon as well as misdemeanor obstruction.

Ferguson was also ordered to pay a $500 fine.
