Pepperell High School freshman Latarion Brown was killed this week after he got caught between a lift gate of a truck and the steps to a home.
Reports stated that the 15 year-old was helping his family move last weekend when the truck began to back up and pin Brown’s leg.
Reports added that Brown was taken to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga where he had surgery, but passed away on Wednesday from complications.
This makes the second death of a Floyd County School student in the past month. Kobe Thomas, a junior at Model High died on Oct. 7 after he was struck by a car.
The school will hold a moment of silence to honor Brown at the Friday football game.
