Kristine Elizabeth Hale, 21 of Rome, was arrested on Monday after the assistant district attorney said Hale repeatedly admitted to lying to Rome Police about being assaulted by her boyfriend.
Reports stated that Hale told police that her boyfriend had placed a pillow over her face for several minutes preventing her from beathing.
However, she later went to the ADA and said that she lied about the incident.
Public record showed that Hale has previously had a restraining order against the man, but had since expired.
Hale is charged with false report of a crime.
