Sarah Imogene Brown, 61 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said she exploited an elderly person with dementia.
Reports stated that Brown took the male victim to a local credit union and had him withdraw $8,000 in cash from his checking account and then proceeded to use the money for her personal gain.
Reported added that the alleged incident occurred last September.
Brown is charged with exploiting an elderly person with a disability.
