A 24 year-old Rome man, Christopher Logan Franks, that was arrested earlier this month is now facing additional charges. Reports stated that Franks was charged this week with numerous burglaries that have occurred over the past month in Rome.

Reports stated that the recent charges come from a break-in that occurred on Club View Drive in Lindale back on October 16th.  Police stated that Franks stole a pair of rifles valued at $500 from the home.

On Thursday Franks was charged with criminal trespass, theft by taking and burglary.


Christopher Logan Franks, 24 of Rome, was arrested this week for burglarizing numerous locations around Floyd County from September until October of this year.

Reports stated that on September 9th of this year Franksallegedly went into a home on Mount Alto Road and stole a Troy weed eater, Husqvarna chainsaw and a Husqvarna leaf blower.

Then on September 11 he stole close to $2,500 worth of products from Big Time Products on Burlington Road.

On October 7th Franks allegedly broke into a home on Clubview Drive and allegedly stole a Husqvarna 150T back pack blower without permission.   The blower was valued at $400.

Reports went on to say that on October 9 he entered a home on Dixie Park Road and stole an air compressor.   Franks then proceeded to a home on Old Summerville Road and stole a weed eater, two leaf blowers, a power drill and a tool bag.

Finally on October 12th, Franks allegedly went into a home on Summit Drive and stole a chain saw.

Franks is charged with five counts of burglary, six counts of theft by taking and two counts of  criminal trespass.
