James Dewayne Barker, 31 of Lindale, was arrested this week following a over yearlong investigation into an identity fraud scheme.

 

Reports stated that in August and September of 2015 Barker cashed six checks that totaled $3,340 in which he knew would not be honored.

 

Investigators stated that the six checks were cashed at a convenience store on New Calhoun Highway.

 

Barker has been charged with felony identification fraud and deposit account fraud, along with misdemeanor providing a false name to law enforcement officers.
