Georgia State Patrol Troopers said that the driver of a Ford Crown Victoria will be charged in wreck last week involving a Gordon County school bus. Reports stated that the woman was driving on the wrong side of Cash Road when it hit a school bus head on.
The woman had to be extracted with head and leg injuries.
Reports added that the driver of the Ford was also not wearing a seat belt.
The woman had two passengers in her car: a one-year-old in the back seat on the passenger side was unharmed; a 10-year-old boy in the backseat behind the driver had seat belt injuries. He was taken to Floyd Medical Center in Rome and then transported to Erlanger Medical Center.
The bus was carrying the driver, a bus monitor and one student. GSP reported the only a minor injury was to the bus driver.
