Three inmates at the Floyd County Jail have been charged with rioting in a penal institution after they allegedly beat a man that had been arrested for murder. Dashawn Ronnell Gordon, 20, Jamal Nevin Foreman, 27, and Kyle Anthony Strother, 25, allegedly attacked Javarick Javon McCain hours after his arrest on Wednesday.
Reports stated that the men “beat and kicked” him until he was able to get free and run from the cell.
Gordon is accused of holding the cell door closed so that Foreman and Strother could beat him.
The three men are now charged with rioting in a penal institution, aggravated assault and simple assault.
Gordon has been in jail since November 8, 2015 on charges of two counts of child Molestation; Aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy , two counts of tampering with evidence, obstruction, robbery, battery, statutory rape, cruelty to children in the first degree, two counts of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime aggravated battery, and giving false information to a police officer.
Foreman was first arrested on July 20, 2014 on charges of murder, interference with government property, discharge of a gun on another, pointing a gun at another, discharge of a gun near a public street, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon by an inmate.
Strother has been in jail since April of this year on charges of murder and armed robbery.
Jamal Nevin Foreman is accused of shooting and killing Wreno Dantoine Fain in front of the Lexus Lounge.
