Maresha Courtia Alexander, 19 of Rome, was arrested over the weekend after a traffic stop at the intersection of West Third and Second Avenue uncovered drugs and a gun.
Reports stated that officers pulled Alexander over for turning right on red in a restricted area.
During the stop police said that they found marijuana and a Glock handgun over the driver’s seat. In Georgia, you must be 21 years of age to possess a gun.
Alexander is charged with felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and two counts of purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana, failure to obey traffic control devices and possessing and carrying a concealed weapon without a license.
