Benjamin Cody Plott, 27 of Rome, was jailed this week for allegedly hitting and trying to choke a woman at her home.
Reports stated that Plott hit the woman in the back of the head on Thursday.
Offices stated that Plott resisted arrest, which resulted in additional charges.
He is charged with aggravated assault, criminal trespass and obstruction of law enforcement.
