An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Brandon Eugene Akins, 27 of Rockmart, is now facing additional charges after investigators said he caused damage to two vehicles on Chateau Drive earlier this month.
Reports stated that Atkins, who was being housed on burglary and entering an automobile charge, also allegedly caused over $500 in damage to a Canton man’s vehicle when he attempted to break into it.
He also allegedly caused $300 to a Rome woman’s vehicle at the same location.
Akins is now charged with felony counts of criminal damage to property and entering an automobile along with a misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property.
Akins was charged August 25th for three counts of entering an automobile with intent to commit a felony and burglary.
He was arrested on August 20th for probation violation.
