Two men were arrested this week following a traffic stop at the intersection of Ga 53 and Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard. Reports stated that Vincent Shariff Maxwell, 52 of Lindale, was pulled over for having an expired tag. During the stop Maxwell allegedly gave a Georgia State Patrol tropp[er a false name and date of birth.
Claude Clifford Terhune, 21 of Rome, was also in the car, and was found with a plastic bag filled with methamphetamine.
Terhune is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.
Maxwell is charged with felony driving while a habitual violator, misdemeanor giving a false name and date of birth and driving with an expired license tag.
