Polk County Coroner Tony Brazier confirmed that Leeanne Dobson, 50 of Dallas, was killed as the result of a two vehicle accident Monday in Rockmart. Reports said that Dobson and her husband, Robert Dobson, 58, was driving their Harley Davidson motorcycle when they were both struck by a 1999 Ford F-150 driven by 18 year-old John C. Prichard of Rockmart.
Police said that after the motorcycles were impacted, a second vehicle, a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Howell K. Hammonds, struck one of the motorcycles again.
Authorities said that Leeanne Dobson was killed at impact, and her husband Robert was treated by emergency responders before being Lifeflighted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Brazier said he remained in critical condition as of earlier this morning.
According to reports, Prichard is facing felony charges of homicide by vehicle in the first degree, along with failure to yield.
