Floyd County police arrested Thomas Dewayne Has, 52, and Carrie Leigh Hash, 34, both of Rome, this week following a traffic stop on Davis Loop at Old Bells Ferry Road.

Reports stated that police noticed a car being driven by Thomas Hash failed to maintain his lane, and as a result tried to initiate a stop.   The officer stated said that the driver accelerated before finally coming to a stop.

The officer reported that after getting Mr. Hash’s ID, he remembered that he had been told that Hash was a suspect for possibly distributing methamphetamine.

A search of the car allegedly uncovered a black pouch that contained two baggies of suspected meth.  A second pouch was then found that contained a digital scale and two additional bags of meth. A loaded .45 caliber Glock pistol and a loaded 25 found magazine was found next to the driver’s seat.  A search of Mrs. Hash’s purse also resulted in officers finding an eye glass case with two loaded needles of suspected meth.

Thomas Hash is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and failure to maintain lane.

Carrie Has is charged with possession of methamphetamine.
