Jason Earl Ray, 27 of Rome, was arrested recently and charged with stealing a high point .9mm handgun. Reports stated that ray entered a car on Beard Lake Road last week and stole the gun from a male victim.
Reports stated that Ray was later found and arrested. During a search of Ray, officers located methamphetamine.
He is charged with entering an automobile with intent to commit a felony, theft by taking, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is also being held on a parole hold.
