Anthony Jerome Heath, 45 of Rome, was arrested last week after leading police on a chase. Reports stated that Health stole numerous items from the Dollar General in Central Plaza and fled the scene on foot.
Reports stated that Heath stole nine bags of potato chips, six bottles of Dove lotion, three packs of Dove soap bars, two bottles of Aleve, a hair clipper, toy, and a belt.
Several police officers joined in the chase of Health near 2nd Avenue.
He was finally captured and charged with felony probation violation, four misdemeanor counts of obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and theft by shoplifting.
