Skyler Deshun Perkinson, 20 of Cartersville, was transported from Bartow County to Rome to face numerous burglary charges that occurred earlier in the year at several Rome businesses.

On February 26, 2016, reports stated that he attempted to burglarize Georgia Auto Pawn on Shorter Avenue, the Shrimp Boat on East 2nd Avenue, Bojangles on Redmond Circle, Boatfields on Martha Berry Highway, Shelia B’s on Shorter Avnue.

Investigators said that in the Boatfield’s case, Perkinson broke a window, and heavily damaged numerous computers, TV, and printer.  The victim reported that only a personal picture in a frame was missing.

They added that in the Shelia B’s case, the suspect used a lug wrench to pry open the door. He then used the tool to damage a rear door in an attempt to remove a pad lock.

On February 28, 2016, the suspect made a hole in the wall to access a rear door lock. Once inside Perkinson allegedly damaged the cash register and computer and stole $5,450.

He is accused of breaking into five buildings on Feb. 26 and another on Feb. 28.

Perkinson is charged with five counts of burglary and criminal trespass.
