Linda Ann Barnes, 33 of Rome, is facing numerous charges after reports said she attempted to escape police custody over the weekend.
Police said that that Barnes was found with a glass smoking pipe with a large amount of residue inside.
After being placed in handcuffs and in the back of a patrol car, Barnes allegedly slipped out of her cuffs, crawled though the cage in the car, rolled down the window and ran.
She was captured after a short chase.
Barnes is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, escape and obstruction of law enforcement officers.
