Floyd County Police arrested Derek Hunter Parr, 22, and Jamison Leanne Dye, 24, both of Rome, this week at Dye’s Alabama Highway home after they were allegedly found to be smoking synthetic marijuana around two children.

Reports said that a three-year-old child and six-year-old child in the same home while smoking the drug.

A search of the home uncovered rolling papers, synthetic marijuana and burnt roaches in the bedroom.

Both were both charged with two felony counts of cruelty to children in the second degree, possession of synthetic marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug-related objects.
