Travis Darrell Newberry, 48 of Lindale, was arrested this week after Floyd County Police found him near Park Avenue with suspected methamphetamine. Reports said that when officers approached Newberry he threw a container with the drug on the ground before being taken into custody.
He is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor for abandonment of dangerous drugs.
