Scottie Lee Hamilton, 47 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly physically kept a woman from dialing 911 for help.
Reports said that Hamilton was arrested at his home on Big Texas Valley Road by Floyd County police.
He was charged with felony false imprisonment, misdemeanor simple battery under the Family Violence Act, criminal trespass and obstructing people making an emergency call.
