Rome police arrested Joseph Jermaine Ford, 29 of Rockmart, Wednesday after he allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman. Reports said that Ford punched though a car window trying to get to the victim.
Police said that Ford, who was arrested at the Law Enforcement Center, was intoxicated during the assault.
He is charged with simple assault, reckless conduct, 2nd degree criminal damage to property and public drunk.
