Floyd County police arrested Toby Keith Johnson, 20 of Rome, at the Kings Inn on Martha Berry Boulevard on numerous felony charges. Reports said that Johnson was found at the motel when he started walking toward the Armuchee Village Shopping Center. Officers reportedly approached Johnson and a search of his pockets uncovered a clear plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine. Officers also found a gun hidden in his pants.
Reports went on to say that officers drove Johnson back to the motel to investigate. They said at this point he became combative and started to kick, spit, and head butt and refusing to settle down while being placed in the police car.
Johnson is charged with possession of meth, possession of firearm convicted felon, interference with government property and parole violation.
