According to officials with the ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) the explosion at JCG Farms in Rockmart caused close to $3 million worth of damage. The blast also resulted in the death of one and five others being injured.

ATF’s national response team was joined by officials with the Atlanta field office on Monday and said that they expect the investigation to what caused the blast to last for several weeks.

The $3 million worth of damage done to JCG Farms includes heavy structural damage to the warehouse, plant and offices.

Officials said that Justin Deems, 25, of Rockmart, was killed during the explosion and was dead when responders arrived..

The others that were included include Randy Dodd, James Lentz, Dallas Holcombe and Tyler Morgan.
