A two vehicle accident resulted in the death of a man on Tuesday evening. Reports said that Honda Civic was traveling south when it collided head on with a northbound Ford truck driven by James Matthews of Armuchee. The driver of the Honda, 26-year-old Corey Jamel Evans of Rome, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Matthews was taken to Redmond Regional Medical Center but later transferred to Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga.
