According to reports Rome healthcare-industry executive Andy Morris has plans to build a new $11 to $12 million nursing home campus on Goodyear Road in Rockmart. Plans call for the 86,000 square foot facility to be placed behind Floyd Primary and Urgent Care.

The facility would replace the current 116 bed Cedar Springs Health and Rehab nursing home located on Cason Road in Cedartown.

Morris is quoted to say that the facility would be ‘different than anybody’ in Georgia. He said that each of the residents would have their own private bed and bathrooms. The campus would include four 14 bed and 4 15 bed residential buildings. Each would share a living room, kitchen and laundry facility.

The campus will also include a administration building, rehab faculty, café, chapel, beauty salon, kitchen and numerous other amenities.

Morris’ Reliable Healthcare Management Company owns seven skilled nursing facilities in Georgia including Chulio Hills Health and Rehab and Fifth Avenue Health Care in Rome
