Rome police arrested two men over the weekend on drug charges. Reports said that while police were arresting Kenneth Zachary Whaley, 33, and Chad Lee Jones, 30, Whaley attempted to pull a knife on the officer.
Whaley is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, two counts of obstruction of an officer and two counts of aggravated assault on an officer in performance of duties.
Jones is also charged with felony meth possession and misdemeanor possession and use of drug-related objects.
The men were arrested at 610 Shorter Avenue.
