Rome police arrested Phillip Wayne Holland, of Rome, Wednesday and charged him with the armed robbery of Rick’s High Tech Fuel on North Broad Street. Reports said Holland entered the store and pointed a gun at the clerk before demanding money.
Authorities said that Holland got away with $500 during the robbery, which occurred after midnight on Tuesday.
After investigating the incident Holland was arrested at his home on Wilshire Road. The warrant states Holland was in possession of gloves and a cloth mask.
Holland is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, theft by taking and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
