Cavan Lamont Hackett, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after he was accused of trying to smother a woman while she was sleeping. Reports said that Hackett placed his hand over the victim’s mouth and nose just after midnight on Monday.
Hackett was charged with felony aggravated assault.
