After a week long investigation into methamphetamine trafficking, six (6) people were arrested on drug trafficking/distribution and firearms charges Monday night (December 7th) at a private residence on Holbrook Road near the Oostanaula community. Sheriff’s detectives executed a search warrant at 200 Holbrook Road in unincorporated Gordon County which resulted in the seizure of several ounces of methamphetamine with a “street” value of nearly $10,000.00, a large array of drug related paraphenalia, and an assortment of firearms. Six people were arrested:

Leslie Leon Bowling, age 54, of Ranger, Georgia, charged with Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Schedule II Narcotics. Bowling was free on bond on another drug related charge, sale of methamphetamine, in Gordon County at the time of his arrest.

Jessica Lee Potts, age 36, of Resaca, Georgia, charged with Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute

Jeremy David Parker, age 40, of Calhoun, Georgia, charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute, and Firearms Offenses

Brandon Van Shirley, age 25, of Calhoun, Georgia, charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute, and Firearms Offenses

Zachariah Lloyd Felton Kirby, age 23, of Sugar Valley, Georgia, charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute, and Firearms Offenses

Kateland Nichole Scott, age 19, of Calhoun, Georgia, charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute, and Firearms Offenses

All six defendants are being held in the Gordon County Jail pending bond. Sheriff Ralston said, “These six defendants can now face a jury of Gordon County residents in our local Superior Court to answer these very serious charges. My detectives in this case acted rapidly and resourcefully in managing this investigation.”
