Melvin Theodore Thrift, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he set fire to a home at 314 Leafmore Road back on August 23, 2015. Reports added that the fire also damaged an ATV.
Reports went on to say that Thrift deflated a tire, as well as scratched paint on a truck, resulting in $500 worth of damage.
Thrift is charged with arson in the first degree, arson in the third degree and criminal damage to property.
